Overview

Fast-paced action platformer. Wall-run, pounce, slide-jump, ramp-hop. Combat chains into parkour. Movement and combat share inputs so combos are emergent, not scripted.

Previously called Project Gigi.

My Role

Game designer.

  • Core movement kit. Every input combinable with every other input.
  • State-dependent weapon mechanics. Same weapon behaves differently sliding, airborne, or grounded.
  • Combat loop that incentivises pushing forward instead of backing off.
  • Reward loops driving replayability and mastery.
  • Whitebox / blockout level design where the space teaches the kit.
  • Technical art and shaders supporting the visual language.

Brought the project out to booths in Edmonton and Calgary, and pitched at Indie Ignition Accelerator and other publishers. Currently paused due to lack of funding.
